Medicall Expo 2012 - August 3rd to 6th, 2012.

Medicall 2012 will showcase the latest equipments, technologies and services from the medical industry. It is the perfect platform for the health care industry to come together to assess the healthcare situations in the South India. The tradeshow is scheduled to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India from August 3 – 6, 2012. The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for the hospital, surgical and medical professionals and would encourage them to reach new horizons in the healthcare industry.

More than 500 exhibiting companies that include the international traders from China, Germany, Taiwan and UK will participate in the expo and will provide service to over 10000 attendees from domestic as well as from international markets. The involvement of such a huge number of buyers and sellers has made the exhibition one of the biggest ones of its nature in the country. Philips is the title sponsor of Medicall 2012.

The main highlights of Medicall are as follows:1. Conference and Seminar sessions, Crisil MEDICALL Healthcare Innovation Awards 2012, Hospital Property Mela, Fashion Show on Hospital Garments, Concurrently held with Rehab Expo and MedicalLab.

Innovative Fashion show on Hospital Garments to be held on 3rd August 2012 and it is hosted by student of National Institute of Design, Ahemedabad.

Talking to reporters , Dr S Manivannan, CEO of Medicall said it would be India's largest B2B event and serves as a forum where Medicine meets management, besides offering one stop solution for all medical needs. More than 10,000 professional visitors from India and abroad are expected to attend the expo, which would be a 'real supermarket' for hospital equipment and supplies, ranging from surgical cotton to the most sophisticated medical equipment from around the world.

It would also serve as a platform for doctors, including freshers, to meet the medical fraternity and share experience with their peers. As part of the Expo, seminars would be conducted in various fields of medicine. Besides, awards for innovation would also be presented. More than 160 enquiries from around the world have been received for the award to be given in three categories covering Healthcare Delivery, Medical Equipment Diagnostics amd IT and CSR initiatives. Innovations Awards are sponsored by CRISIL.

Dr Manivannan said one day of the event would be exclusively earmarked for Hospital Property Mela, highlighting real estate market trends to be analysed in the form of a panel discussion involving experts from the real estate sector. The high point of the expo would the fashion show on hospital garments to be hosted by the students of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. The expo would be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University Vice-chancellor Dr Mayilvahanan Natarajan.
